About the Journal
Diyala Journal for Veterinary Sciences (DJVS) is a quarterly, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in all areas of veterinary medicine and related fields. The journal welcomes original research, clinical studies, case reports, brief communications, review articles, and public health studies with relevance to veterinary and zoonotic sciences.
Instructions for Authors
Authors intending to submit manuscripts to DJVS are expected to adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and publishing ethics. The following guidelines outline the responsibilities and ethical obligations of authors contributing to the journal.
- Originality and Plagiarism
- Manuscripts submitted must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Proper citations and acknowledgment of all referenced works are mandatory.
- Any form of plagiarism including copying text, ideas, data, or results without appropriate credit is strictly prohibited.
- Authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection software prior to submission.
- Data Integrity and Reporting
- Authors must ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of their data.
- Data fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting is unethical and will result in manuscript rejection or retraction.
- Results should be reported honestly, and data visualizations or statistical analyses must accurately represent the underlying information.
- Authorship
- Authorship credit should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the research.
- All listed authors must have reviewed and approved the final manuscript.
- Any changes to authorship (addition, removal, or order changes) after submission must be approved by all authors.
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, that may influence the content of their submission.
- Examples include, but are not limited to, funding, personal relationships, academic commitments, or patent interests.
- Disclosures should be stated clearly within the manuscript.
- Data Sharing and Availability
- Authors should be prepared to share their research data upon reasonable request.
- Data must be made available in a clear, accessible, and understandable format, while ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy laws.
- Ethical Research Practice
- Manuscripts involving animal experiments or human data must have appropriate ethical approval.
- Authors must confirm that all research was conducted in accordance with relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines.
- A statement of ethical approval and adherence to relevant guidelines must be included in the manuscript.
- Professional Conduct and Communication
- Authors are expected to respond promptly and professionally to editorial and peer-review communications.
- Deadlines for revisions and resubmissions must be observed to facilitate a timely review process.
- All correspondence should be conducted in clear, respectful, and formal language.
- Funding and Financial Support
- Complete disclosure of all financial support for the research must be provided.
- Authors should clearly state the role of the funders (if any) in study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and publication.
- Citation:
Authors are required to cite a minimum of two articles from this journal in their research.
Instructions for Authors on Manuscript Style and Formatting
Diyala Journal for Veterinary Sciences (DJVS)
Authors submitting manuscripts to DJVS are required to adhere to the following formatting guidelines based on the official journal template:
General Document Layout
- Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word (docx) format using the provided DJVS Paper Template.
- Use A4 page size, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
- Number pages consecutively at the bottom center of each page.
Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should be organized in the following order:
- Paper Title
- Bold, Title Case (capitalize the first letter of each major word )
- Centered at the top of the page.
- The size is 18 pt -Time New Roman.
- Author Names
- Full names of all authors listed beneath the title.
- Indicate affiliations, ORCID and corresponding author’s email address.
- The size 12 pt Time New Roman.
- Abstract
- Structured into Background, Aims, Results, and Conclusions.
- Limited to approximately 200–300 words.
- The size 10 pt - Time New Roman.
- Keywords
- Provide 4–6 relevant keywords, separated by commas.
- The size 10 pt.
- Main Text
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Ethics approval ( if use lab. Animals ).
- Results
- Conclusions
- Recommendations.
- Acknowledgment (optional)
- Conflict of Interest
- Funding Sources
- Authors' Contributions
- The all above in size 12 pt.
- Figures and Tables
- Label as Figure (1): Title and Table (1): Title
- Embed figures and tables close to their first citation in the text.
- The size is 10 pt. -Time New Roman.
- Regarding the histopathological figure, should be arranged with two images per page with the description.
- References
- Use APA style referencing (numbered in order of appearance in the text).
- List references numerically at the end of the manuscript.
- The DOI for each article is included in the references.
Formatting Notes
- Use a clear, readable font such as Times New Roman, 12 pt.
- Single spacing throughout the document.
- Do not use footnotes; essential information should be included in the main text.
- Ensure consistency in headings, subheadings, figure captions, and table titles.
Open Access Policy
All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution- Non Commercial 4.0 International License, allowing for non-commercial use with proper attribution.
Important
Authors must use the official DJVS Paper Template 2025 for their manuscript submissions. Manuscripts that do not follow this formatting style will be returned for correction prior to peer review.
